DEVELOPMENT
In-house capabilities at Audley include development, investment, asset and project management, planning and letting expertise. In short, we have the skills and knowledge to take advantage of a dearth of land supply and, given the difficult planning climate, to exploit opportunities to satisfy occupiers’ needs and investor requirements.

We have established a reputation for acquiring sites and existing investments where other developers have failed and, by using our professional relationships with retailers, consultants and investors, have turned such schemes into successful developments.

Our retail schemes are strategically located with excellent prominence and accessibility to major traffic routes, as is demanded by the modern retailer and the long-term investor.

Audley always engage the best professional advisors to deal with new development projects who can demonstrate appropriate experience and have a proven ability to deliver. This ensures that our schemes are profitable, completed on time and fully satisfy the exacting requirements of the operators we work with.

Our most recent project was a scheme in Bishops Stortford which was forward-sold to Aldi Stores Ltd early in 2012. Our non-food retail development programme has included schemes in Swindon (53,000 sq ft), Bournemouth (235,000 sq ft), Newton Abbot (42,000 sq ft) and Carmarthen (57,000 sq ft) providing accommodation for national retailers such as B&Q, Matalan, Wickes, Courts, Halfords, Brantano, Pets at Home and JJB Sports.

Overseas, through our Polish subsidiary, we have identified a number of new sites and have secured land for new retail developments in Zory, southern Poland and in Nowy Targ, close to the mountain resort of Zakopane . Further information can be found under the section headed 'European Operation'.
